City Council
The city council of Moulton is the governing body of the municipality. The Council is composed of the mayor and five council positions which are elected at-large. The mayor pro-tem is elected annually by council members.
City of Moulton City Council meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month. Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Moulton City Hall meeting room located at 102 S. Main.

Ervin Patek, Mayor - term expires 05/2013
Ervin Patek is currently serving his first term as Moulton's mayor. He is an active member of the local Knights of Columbus, the Moulton Volunteer Fire Department, and is a charter member of the Moulton Lions Club. He is also a member of the American Legion, the Moulton Chamber of Commerce and the Keep Moulton Beautiful organization. In the past he served on the Moulton City Council for 12 years, the Moulton ISD School Board for 6 years and the St. Joseph Catholic Church Council. He retired in March 2009 from a grocery store and meat market that he and his wife, Mary, owned and operated for 33 years. Ervin stays busy managing his storage unit facility business as well as the sale of custom deer blinds. In his spare time, Ervin enjoys hunting and fishing.

Minnie Lee Fisbeck, Place 2 - term expires 05/2013
Minnie Lee Fisbeck is currently serving her second consecutive term as Councilwoman Place 2 on the Moulton City Council. Over the past several years she also held various positions on the Council, including mayor for 5 years. She has the distinction of being the first female mayor in Lavaca County. She is active as a member of the Keep Moulton Beautiful board of directors and Zion Lutheran Church. She is also a member of the Moulton Chamber of Commerce. In addition, she devotes her time to the Shady Oaks Nursing Home and her 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
